Troubleshooting Scanners

 

  • When logging in to the website, try your ACN or BFBP logins. This means typing “ACNyour-user-name” for the username. That includes the word “ACN” and a backslash (“/”). If you do not know your password,  it should be the same as your myNMSU password. Contact ICT for password-related questions.
  • Battery is dead – If the scanner’s battery dies, a replacement will have to be ordered. Scanner batteries cost approximately $45.  Your department will be charged for replacement batteries.
  • Scanner will not sync – If your computer does not connect to the scanner when you insert the scanner in the cradle, try taking the scanner out and putting it back in. Observe the scanner screen to ensure that it is connecting. Connecting should take about 30 seconds. If that does not resolve the problem, remove the scanner’s battery, put it back in, and try again.
